March is the month where we hit you up for mula, but it’s not for us… #MarchOnWithUs to move towards an end to LGBTQ youth marginalization by helping give queer teens a voice.
We’ve started a playwriting & creation program for queer youth called #YOUthRiot.
We received a grant from the Canada Council to help us put this on, but we’re missing about $2,500 more to complete the program.
If 125 of you give just $20, you will help us pay artist fees for professionals teaching workshops, as well as supply 8 great queer teenagers with supplies, snacks, friendships and a chance to give their stories a voice on stage – which we’ll all get to witness live at Big Secret Theatre on May 13th, 2015.
This is a community initiative with our partners One Yellow Rabbit and Calgary OutLink. We have truly created a village to give voice to a severely marginalized group of smart, dynamic, creative teens. Please feel free to share with your own networks. Every little bit helps!
