Third Street Theatre has launched a Grassroots Initiative Grant (GIG) campaign as part of the Calgary 2012 – Cultural Capital of Canada festivities!
Each month, 27 grants valued at $1200 are awarded to individuals or groups who wish to create an arts, culture, or diversity-related projects. If we are successful, the GIG grant would help fund our first ever Queer Theatre Creation Ensemble.
We intend to use the $1200 grant towards rehearsal and performance space, research, costumes, props, and any other design elements as necessary throughout the creation process. While this grant wont cover the entire costs of the Creation Ensemble, it will certainly allow us to take the project that much further.
